With the development of the ultra high rate HydroThane STP EGSB (Expanded Granular Sludge Bed) reactor, HydroThane STP has created the opportunity for customers with limited available space to treat their effluent.
In addition, the HydroThane STP EGSB reactor has also eliminated noise and odour-related issues.
Characteristics of HydroThane STP EGSB:
- Due to the complete over-pressure design of the HydroThane STP EGSB process a (bio) gasholder is not required!
- There is no need to install bio/compost filters or other, because all odour or smell nuisance are fully integrated into the pressurised and closed biogas circuit.
- Due to the pressurised design of the HydroThane STP EGSB there is the elimination of air/oxygen. Corrosion is therefore not possible in the HydroThane EGSB reactor.
- The HydroThane STP EGSB has no complex internals or rotating equipment within the EGSB reactor (thus no maintenance at all within the reactor).
- The loading rates for this kind of reactor are typically in the range of 15 - 35 kg COD/m3day.
