HydroThane STP BSP stands for Biological Scrubbing Process. Currently, there are various biological treatment systems available on the market to remove and convert H₂S, but none are as economically and technologically attractive as the HydroThane STP Biological Scrubbing Process.
The treatment of a biogas flow is realized in one / two round reactors. The removed hydrogen sulphide is "oxidized" for about 80% to elemental sulphur and for about 20% in sulphate.

HydroThane STP BSP has the following characteristics:

- Extreme low operational costs
- Hardly no nutrient requirement
- Low energy requirement
- Simple & safe to operate (no hazardous chemicals, minimal number of equipment)
- Minimal amount of equipment (safe, low maintenance)
